Pez candy had its birth in 1927 in Germany. Getting its name from the German word for peppermint. Originally sold in tins the dispenser we all know and love came about in 1949. Over the following decades the we see an explosion in the number different types of dispensers. Now known as much as a collectible as a candy Pez is still going strong almost a 100 years later.
